Stephania is a professional model and who also explores the art of self portrait photography. Regardless of what side of the camera she is on, her passion for art is the inspiration that drives her. There is a sense of honesty in her nude modeling that might have you feel as if you are silently present during her most private moments. With a photographer, or alone with just her camera and her creativity, Stephania, expresses herself with delicate body poses and subtle emotional expression.

We asked Stephania about her nude art and self portraits. Just like her images, her answers to our questions shine with beauty, honesty and simplicity.

What is beauty?

I don’t see beauty as stereotypical, based on measurements and looks. True beauty is found in people and things that are genuine from the soul, I know this because I’ve surrounded myself with beautiful people that are honest, kind, selfless and pure, with everyone around them. It truly makes me happy to be a part of it.

What do you want people to experience when they look at your images?

An honest moment in my life, and everything that has lead to it. All the emotions trapped inside me that can only escape through images.

Your self portrait photography is wonderful. What has you inspired to create self portraits? How is the experience different for you than working with photographers?

It’s very different. As I take self-portraits, I’m a lot more confident and comfortable, just because no one is watching. There are very few photographers who will capture that same confidence and “purity” in my self portraits photographs. I’m looking forward to such a relationship with another artist who I can feel 100% myself around.

What was it like for you the first time you participated in the creative process art as a nude model?

First it started out in a collaboration with an artist, I had never thought of it before that, but I had/have such an admiration for this one artist in particular and how amazing his portfolio was, that I tried my best to be my best at something I had never done before and I was amazed at the results. Thanks to him, and his art, I was just reborn with confidence into this amazing world of artistic nudes that I otherwise would of stayed away from. To answer your question, it was liberating.

Is there anything you have learned that you would want to share with someone who want’s to be a model? Or do self portraits?

My advice to anyone who want’s to be a model, is to love and have confidence in your art. I’ve learned to respect myself and what I do.There’s a lot of people who try to trash my work and tell me it’s wrong. I look up to models and photographers who have been doing this for way longer than I have, It’s refreshing to know that apart from all the closed minded people there are artists who truly understand and respect my work.
